Clobevate Cream is a super-high potency topical corticosteroid designed to treat severe inflammatory skin conditions. It works by suppressing the production of inflammatory chemicals (such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes) in the skin. This mechanism rapidly reduces redness, intense itching, swelling, and localized discomfort caused by stubborn dermatological disorders.

Drug Class
Super-potent Topical Corticosteroid
Dosage Form
Cream
Uses
It is used to treat bacterial or non-infected inflammatory skin infections and disorders like:
-
Severe eczema

Dermatitis (including contact dermatitis)

Dosage
To be used as per doctor's prescription.
In case of Overdose
Consult a doctor or contact SMS Pharmacy support in case of accidental ingestion or overuse on extensive skin areas. Prolonged or extensive use can lead to systemic absorption, affecting adrenal gland functions.
Missed Dose
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next scheduled application. Do not apply an extra amount or double the layer to make up for a missed dose.
How To Use
To be used as per doctor's prescription. Clean and thoroughly dry the affected area. Apply a thin film gently over the lesions once or twice daily. Wash your hands thoroughly after application unless your hands are the treated area. Do not use for more than 2 consecutive weeks unless explicitly directed by your physician.
When Not to Use

-
Previous allergic reaction to clobetasol or any other topical corticosteroids

Untreated viral, bacterial, or fungal skin infections (e.g., herpes simplex, chickenpox, ringworm)

Precautions & Warnings
Seek immediate help in case of an allergic reaction. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, or mouth; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not cover, bandage, or wrap the treated area unless specifically instructed by your doctor, as occlusive dressings dramatically increase systemic absorption. Use with caution if you have glaucoma, cataracts, or diabetes.
Drug Interactions
Do not use if you are concurrently applying:
-
Other topical or systemic corticosteroid medications (increases the risk of systemic side effects and adrenal suppression)
-
Any other skin medications on the same spot, unless cleared by your physician
Food Interactions
The food interactions that should be considered while using Clobevate Cream are:
-
Since this is a topical formulation, food choices do not directly impact its absorption or effectiveness.

Avoid alcohol if you have systemic inflammatory conditions, as alcohol can trigger or worsen underlying skin flares (like eczema or psoriasis).
